Copper elbows are the mainstream choice in refrigeration applications. With their excellent thermal conductivity, solderability, and resistance to refrigerant corrosion, they have become essential components in fluorocarbon refrigerant condensers used in household air conditioners, commercial chillers, and similar systems. These elbows have a reddish copper luster, are typically seamless, and feature smooth inner walls free of burrs, which minimizes fluid resistance and prevents impurity buildup that could compromise heat transfer efficiency.
